Grade 5 Field Trip - Blake Planetarium
New this year, we are bringing our 5th graders to the Blake Planetarium at 117 Long Pond Road in Plymouth. The planetarium aligns with our Grade 5 Science curriculum. The Blake Planetarium is a state of the art facility that immerses its audience with video and sound. The planetarium is known as the only 4K fulldome planetarium south of Boston. Our 5th graders will learn about the relationship between the Earth Moon and Sun and the Solar System through videos. You can see a preview of the videos here:

Please look at the schedule below to see when your child will be heading to the Planetarium. On the day of the trip, students can take regular transportation to and from school and will be able to have lunch at school. The schedule is as follows
Tuesday, March 3 - Fournier, Somes, Garceau, Carstensen
Tuesday, March 17 - Renzi, Micciche
Wednesday, March 18 - Hill, Heisner/Johnson, Baron
Tuesday, March 24 - Delcourt, Studley, Sheehan
Tuesday, March 31 - Dunn, Parker/Hodge

Show time: 11:00
Planetarium departure: 12:00
For the trip, the buses should be locked, but we take no responsibility for items left on the bus. Students will not need any spending money. Cell phones for pictures are not allowed on the bus or on the trip.
There is no cost for the trip. All you need to do is sign below electronically. Please sign by Thursday, February 26. Due to the size of the facility, we will not be asking for chaperones this trip. Thank you in advance if you were willing to help!
